Valentines and other stories

Saturday was very fun! George and I slept in which was great since he's been getting up extra early for work the last two weeks. Mom and I drove down to a nursery called One Green World. It's down by Oregon City/Mollala, so it was about an hour drive in the pickup (aka noisy/bumpy). We bought lots of new fruit plants! Six trees, 10 grape plants, more strawberries, and a few other little things. Oh and before the nursery we went over to the Hongle berry farm and got blueberry bushes. We picked up half (9) and are getting the rest tomorrow. Did you know it takes about 10 years for a blueberry to reach full maturity? They will also produce for 100+ years if well cared for. Gary Hongle knows a lot, and will tell you everything if you have enough time.....he's a talker! But a really nice guy :)
We got home about 3pm and George had made me nummy pink rice crispy treats! Then Jamie and Galen came over about 3:30 so we got to squish the fussy baby. Dad made an awesome dinner for everyone, sooo good! Salad with avacado and tiny shrimp, Steak on the bbq and baked potatoes. He also brought home creme brule and cake! I wish I could have eaten more, it was all so good. I think I went into a food coma, fell asleep on the couch at 8pm! I'm glad there's leftovers for dinner tonight.
On a sad note, my Mom's cat Molly died last night. She was really (really) old, and had been going downhill for the last few days so we were expecting it. She was 21yrs old this year, I don't remember not having that cat around. She will be missed.

Poor Molly! She sure did live a good long life :) You'll see her again in Heaven and it will be wonderful reunion! Your day sure sounds like it was fun! I had something interesting today - a Neopolitan Rice Krispy square - 3 layers - chocolate, plain (regular) and strawberry! YUM YUM
